Strange Things Started Happening in My House After I Ignored a Serious Warning I Was Given

My name is Patrick Musyoka, and I live in Syokimau, Machakos County, just a few minutes from Nairobi. I work as a procurement officer at a logistics company near JKIA, and for a long time, I believed I was in control of my life. I had a good job, a comfortable three-bedroom house, and a calm family life with my wife Lydia Musyoka and our two children, Ethan and Miriam. What I didn’t know was that ignoring one serious warning would turn my peaceful home into a place of fear.
The warning came casually. One Saturday afternoon, while attending a family function in Kangundo, an elderly uncle, Mzee Mutiso, pulled me aside. He looked at me deeply and said, “Patrick, delay your move. That house is not ready for you yet.” I laughed it off. I had already paid rent, moved furniture, and informed my workplace. How could a house be “not ready”? I thanked him politely and ignored his words completely.
Two weeks after moving into the Syokimau house, strange things began. It started small. Every night around 2:40 a.m., I would wake up suddenly, sweating and restless. Then came the sounds—soft footsteps in the corridor, the kitchen door creaking, and sometimes the sound of utensils clinking. Lydia heard them too, but we convinced each other it was normal house noise. Soon, the children started waking up crying, saying they were scared but unable to explain why.
