Man Reveals How He Left Selling Water to Villagers After 30 Years of Struggling

For over three decades, Mr. Peter Mutiso, a man from Machakos County, spent his life carrying water from wells and rivers to sell to local villagers. For many, his daily struggle was a symbol of perseverance, yet for Peter, it was also a life of hardship, exhaustion, and frustration. Despite the challenges, he continued, hoping that one day his circumstances would improve. What eventually allowed him to leave the water-selling business, however, was not just luck—it was a combination of hard work, persistence, and spiritual guidance from Dr Bokko, a renowned spiritual healer.
Peter’s story began in the early 1990s, when he lost his job at a local construction company due to downsizing. “I was young, ambitious, but broke,” Peter recalled. “I had no education beyond high school, no capital, and no one willing to help me. Selling water became the only option. I would wake up at 4 AM, carry jerricans on my back for miles, and sell to villagers who often paid me very little or sometimes nothing at all.” Life was tough. Rainy days made it impossible to fetch water, and scorching sun left him dehydrated and exhausted. He often returned home with barely enough to eat.
Despite the hardships, Peter never gave up. Villagers knew him as a hardworking man, but some pitied him. “People would tell me I was wasting my life, that I deserved better,” he said. “But I had no other choice. I had to survive, and this was the only work I could do.” Over the years, he became an essential part of the community; villagers relied on his water supply, especially during droughts. Yet deep down, Peter longed for a life beyond constant struggle.
