Every Job Interview Failed For Years Until I Discovered What Was Holding Me Back

Daniel from Kisumu had always believed that education and hard work were enough to secure a good job. After completing his studies, he returned home full of hope and confidence. He updated his CV, attended career trainings, and applied for jobs in different companies across Kenya. At the beginning, Daniel was patient and optimistic. He believed rejection was normal and that his time would come. However, as months turned into years, his hope slowly faded.
Daniel attended many job interviews in Kisumu, Eldoret, and even Mombasa. Some interviews went very well. Interviewers praised his qualifications and communication skills, and a few even hinted that he would be contacted soon. But after every interview, silence followed. Sometimes emails never came, and other times he received regret messages without clear reasons. Watching friends he graduated with move forward in life while he remained jobless was painful and embarrassing.
As time passed, Daniel noticed a strange pattern. Every opportunity would reach the final stage, then suddenly fail. Positions were “put on hold,” companies stopped responding, or he was told the job had been given to someone else at the last minute. Financial pressure increased, and he struggled to support himself. Family members began questioning him, and some even assumed he was not trying hard enough. Deep inside, Daniel felt something was seriously wrong.
