“I Can’t Date a Man who Earns Less than Ksh 5 Million Per Month” Pritty Vishy says

A Kenyan social media personality known as Pritty Vishy has set the internet ablaze after boldly declaring that she cannot date any man earning less than Ksh 5 million per month.
The controversial statement was shared via a post on Breaking Gossip’s Facebook page, and it didn’t take long for the comment section to explode with reactions—ranging from outrage to sarcasm and everything in between.

In the original post, Pritty Vishy’s dating standards were presented with dramatic flair, complete with star emojis, as if to underline just how non-negotiable her financial requirements are. But netizens were quick to turn the spotlight back on her.
One user, Harriet Mmboga, pointedly asked: “Is that what Simple Boy used to earn?”—a sly reference to past relationships and perhaps a hint that reality may not match the demands.
Rex Muzikah chimed in with a philosophical take, writing: “The fact remains that simple boy alikudinyaga… my primary school was repainted doesn’t change that I was there.” The comment, which garnered 11 likes, seemed to mock the idea of rewriting history based on current boasts.
Others questioned Pritty’s own contributions. Anthony Muchui Nguthari fired back: “What do you earn as yourself…. carheyno,” while Tinah Kavash simply asked: “What will you be bringing to the table?”
Then came the personal jabs.
Calvins Owenga redirected the financial scrutiny toward her family: “How much does your father earn let’s start there?”
Brian Obiri added: “Sijaona jina ya babaake kwa list ya millionaires Kenya ” — implying her father isn’t among Kenya’s wealthy elite.
Some commentators took a more humorous route. Kevo wuod yala stated: “I can’t date woman with plastic nyash”, turning the tables on physical expectations. Meanwhile, Wood Nyasindo described the outburst as “another smartphone in the wrong hands,” suggesting access to social media doesn’t always mean wisdom.
As the thread grew, so did the likes, laughs, and virtual eye-rolls. The post has since accumulated dozens of replies and reactions, proving once again that when it comes to love, money, and social media—everyone has an opinion.
Whether Pritty Vishy’s statement was meant as a joke, a boast, or a genuine standard, one thing is clear: Kenyans on Facebook are not letting it slide without a fight.
