My Mother-in-Law Hated Me Because I Was Barren and Could Not Give My Husband Children Only to Find Out Her Son Was the Problem

From the day I got married, I knew I was not welcome in my mother-in-law’s heart. At first, she was polite, but everything changed after the first year passed without a pregnancy. Whispers started. Comments followed. Soon, the blame was direct.
I was labeled barren, useless, and unworthy of her son. Family gatherings became torture, and silence was mistaken for guilt. What hurt the most was that my husband slowly began to doubt me too.
Under pressure from his mother and relatives, he asked questions that broke my heart. I went for tests quietly, alone, hoping to clear my name and save my marriage. The results showed nothing wrong with me, but that did not stop the insults. In their eyes, the problem had to be me.
The emotional stress became unbearable. My mother-in-law openly suggested my husband marry another woman. I cried myself to sleep most nights, feeling ashamed of something I didn’t even understand.
I felt cursed, blocked, and alone. Even when doctors advised that both partners should be checked, my husband refused. His family insisted it was unnecessary.
At my lowest point, a woman I met through a support group shared her story with me.
