Inside Pritty Vishy’s Candid Weight-Loss Journey: “I Don’t Regret What I Had to Do”

In a raw and revealing series of social media posts, influencer and entertainer Pritty Vishy has pulled back the curtain on her deeply personal transformation—a journey marked by medical intervention, relentless discipline, and emotional resilience.

Addressing her followers directly, Vishy didn’t shy away from the questions many had been asking. She confirmed using the prescription medication Ozempic—a drug typically for type 2 diabetes but increasingly turned to for weight loss—and disclosed she undergoes a surgical procedure to support her goals. The financial commitment is substantial, costing her KSh 65,000 monthly for the injections alone.

“Yes, I used Ozempic, yes I did surgery,” she wrote plainly, framing these choices as necessary steps toward a healthier life, rather than secrets to be hidden.

But Vishy was quick to redirect the narrative away from quick fixes. She invited the public to look beyond the medical aids to the sweat, tears, and self-hatred that fueled her gym sessions.

“Why don’t you talk about the days I cried hard in the gym? Why don’t you talk about how I hated myself at 112 kilograms?” she challenged. “I’ve been big since, and I chose a way that favoured me.”

Her message was clear: the transformation was a hybrid of science and sheer willpower. She spoke of a lifelong struggle with her size and a conscious decision to employ every tool available to her. “I don’t regret doing what I had to do to lose weight,” she stated. “If I could have known it earlier, I would still do it.”

Now aiming for a goal weight of 70 kilograms, Vishy’s journey is ongoing. She shares her progress through before-and-after photos, which she says have become a source of confidence and motivation. “I have worked so hard to see myself here,” she reflected, acknowledging both the physical change and the emotional fortitude built over months of dedication.

Through her transparency, Pritty Vishy offers more than a weight-loss update; she provides a nuanced look at the modern pursuit of health—where medical advances meet personal grit, and where every choice comes with both a financial and emotional cost. In doing so, she navigates the complex waters of body image, public perception, and private struggle with striking honesty.
