My husband was so resentful towards me, stingy and did not give me any money but there was a softer way to make things work

Marriage was supposed to be a place of comfort, but mine slowly turned into a space of tension and silence. My husband became resentful over time, angry without explanation, and extremely stingy.
He would go days without giving money for food or household needs, yet he had no problem spending on himself. I felt humiliated having to ask for basics, and even worse, being dismissed as if I didn’t matter.
I tried to fix things the “right” way. I spoke calmly, I cried, I involved elders, and I prayed. Nothing worked. His heart felt closed. The resentment grew deeper, and the financial neglect became normal.
I started feeling trapped married, yet completely unsupported. People around me kept saying, “Just be patient,” but patience was slowly draining my strength.
Things reached a breaking point when I fell sick and had no money for treatment, yet he refused to help. That night, I realized something was seriously wrong. This was no longer just about money it was about bitterness and a blocked connection in our marriage.
