Shock as Man Dies After Waiting Over Five Hours for Lab Results at Busia Referral Hospital
Shock and grief engulfed Busia Referral Hospital on Tuesday after a middle-aged man reportedly died while waiting for laboratory test results for more than five hours.
According to witnesses, the man had been sent to the laboratory to submit samples for testing as part of his medical examination. He complied with the instructions and waited patiently for the results, hoping to be attended to promptly.
However, as hours passed without any feedback from the laboratory, his condition allegedly began to worsen. Concerned relatives and other patients are said to have raised alarm and sought assistance from hospital staff, but their efforts reportedly did not yield immediate help.
Sources claim that the man remained in distress for several hours before collapsing within the hospital premises. He was rushed for emergency treatment, but doctors pronounced him dead shortly afterwards.
