A Valentine’s Day reunion turned into heartbreak and public drama in Kisii after a KDF officer who had been away for nearly a year reportedly traveled home to surprise his wife — only to find her in the company of another man inside their house.
According to neighbors who witnessed the incident, the man had taken a special day off from his workplace and traveled overnight with gifts and flowers, hoping to reconnect with his family after months of working far from home. What was meant to be a joyful reunion quickly turned into a painful confrontation.
The man, identified by neighbors as Otieno (not his real name), arrived early in the morning and knocked several times before the door was opened. To his shock, he found his wife and a stranger inside, both wrapped in towels, appearing startled.
“I thought it was a bad dream,” Otieno said while speaking to people who gathered outside shortly after the incident. “I even carried flowers and gifts. I had missed my children and my wife for one year. I wanted today to be special.”
