Man in Kisii Buys a Stolen Plot, Wakes Up to Find His House Flooded With Termites That Refuse to Leave

My name is Patrick, and I live in Kisii town near Kitutu. I had been dreaming of building my own house for years. Finally, after saving for over a decade, I was ready to invest. A man approached me with what seemed like the perfect plot well-located, flat, and cheap.
I was ecstatic. The papers looked legitimate, and the seller insisted that everything was above board. Without thinking too much, I signed and began construction. Within a week, the foundation was laid.
I could already imagine the rooms, the kitchen, and a small garden where my children could play. I moved in a few months later, feeling proud of what I had achieved.
Then the first warning signs appeared. Tiny holes in the wooden beams, barely noticeable at first, then small piles of sawdust near the walls. I assumed it was normal settling or a minor pest issue. I called a local pest controller, and he assured me that with some spray and routine care, the problem would vanish.
I trusted him. But it didn’t vanish.
A few nights later, I woke up to a strange sound a faint crunching underfoot. My heart raced as I switched on the lights. My living room floor was crawling with thousands of termites. They were everywhere the kitchen cabinets, the bedroom, even the furniture.
It was as if the house had become a termite colony overnight. Panic set in. I contacted pest control again. They sprayed, fumigated, and sealed cracks. But the termites kept returning, more aggressive each time. No matter what I tried, they refused to leave. The situation was destroying my peace.
