For many years, my husband and I loved our daughters deeply, but we could not hide the quiet pain we carried inside. In our culture, people often expect a family to have at least one son. While we never believed our daughters were any less important, the constant comments from relatives and neighbors slowly began to weigh heavily on us.
Whenever we attended family gatherings, someone would always ask the same question. “When will you try for a boy?” At first, we laughed it off. We already had three beautiful daughters who filled our home with joy and laughter.
