The story that shook our town began quietly, the way most shocking stories do. The school had always been respected in the community. Parents trusted it. Students felt safe there. Teachers were treated with great respect because they were seen as mentors guiding young minds.
Nothing about the school suggested that something disturbing was happening behind the scenes. However, whispers had started spreading among a few students in the girls’ hostel. Some girls claimed they occasionally heard footsteps in the corridor late at night.
