“Wacha Kunitusi wewe Sifuna,” New ODM Acting SG Catherine Omanyo fires back at Edwin Sifuna

Catherine Omanyo, the newly appointed acting ODM Secretary General, has hit back at Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna over claims that she is uneducated and unworthy of her position.

In a strongly-worded statement, Omanyo expressed her frustration with what she termed as a lack of respect from the ousted Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.

She claimed that Sifuna sent former Makueni  Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana to question her academic qualifications, while also deploying Nuru Okanga to refer to her as a “chokora” (street child).

An emotional Omanyo recounted her humble beginnings, stating, “My father died when I was young, and I struggled to put myself through school.” She warned Sifuna that if he does not accord her the respect she deserves, he too will be disrespected.

“I am the current Secretary General of ODM. Give me my respect. Leadership comes from God!” Omanyo said.
