Boniface Mwangi Found Abandoned in Ukunda After Deportation from Tanzania.

The missing Kenyan Activists Boniface Mwangi has been found alive but abandoned in Ukunda, Kwale County after being detained in Tanzania for more than three days, the family has confirmed.

According to his lawyer James Wanjeri, Mwangi has been rushed to hospital for medical review.

The activist has been missing since Monday when he traveled to the East African nation to attend the hearing of the opposition leader Tundu Lissu.

On Thursday morning the whereabout of the activist raised serious concerns that nearly escalated into diplomatic row between Kenya and Tanzania as the Kenyan government accused Tanzanian authority for withholding information about mwangi’s whereabout.

According to the Kenyan ministry of foreign affairs it’s revealed that they had made several unsuccessful attempts to get updates on Mwangi’s status.

In Nairobi hundreds of activists had started trooping at the central business district and the Tanzanian embassy to protest the immediate release of Mwangi.
