Media has been barred from accessing the Senate chamber as Raila is addressing senators on the county revenue sharing formula.
According to the clerk of the Senate Jeremiah Nyegenye, the event is a closed door one and it won’t be televised.
The meeting is currently underway as the ODM leader Raila Odinga and the Senate speaker Amason Kingi have already arrived in the Senate chambers.

Initially the senators were taken through the proposed formula by the house finance budget committee, which scrutinized the framework proposed by the commission of revenue allocation.
The panel which is being led by the Mandera Senator Ali Roba had led the senators through the proposed formula, and the committee’s report is different from that of commission of revenue allocation.
If agreed the formula will guide the sharing of revenue among the 47 devolved county governments.
