President William Ruto has announced the Re-Introduction of Kazi Mtaani initiative, speaking during the 62nd Madaraka day celebration in Homa bay county, the head of state indicated that the government decided to provide job opportunities for youth across the country.
The Kazi Mtaani initiative was stopped in 2022 when president Ruto came into office, however the president has said that project will take effect the following week.
Stepping into long term employment,the youth of Homa bay, please be prepared. From next week, we will be rolling out Kazi Mtaani initiative across the country. 110,000 youth will benefit from the program.
Elsewhere the president announced the commencement of the National Youth Opportunities Towards Advancement (NYOTA) Program.
The government of Kenya has partnered with the world bank to roll out ksh20 billion NYOTA Program.
On May 20th the Kenyans government made calls to companies across the country to support the placement of over 45,000 youth in apprenticeship position under the program.
In the Agreement the selected employer will be contacted to provide placement services and apprenticeship opportunity in both public and private sectors.
