Fighting through visible pain from a hospital bed, a fiery Vihiga Senator has broken his silence over a scandal that has set social media ablaze flatly denying rumors of a steamy love triangle and instead accusing a rogue blogger of spreading paid propaganda.
Godfrey Osotsi, known for his no-holds-barred political style, was seen writhing in discomfort as he addressed the media on Thursday, April 9, 2026. But even the agony of his medical condition couldn’t dull his outrage. At the center of the storm is a leaked CCTV clip showing the senator with a mystery woman a clip that online sleuths quickly twisted into a messy romantic entanglement.
“There is a blogger who has said I was involved in a love triangle,” Osotsi said, his voice strained but defiant. “That narrative is a lie cooked up and paid for.”
The senator did not mince words about the source of the rumor. He claimed the blogger behind the smear campaign doubles as a Member of the County Assembly (MCA), accusing the official of taking cash to manufacture the scandal.
“Someone has been paid to propagate this love-triangle nonsense,” Osotsi charged.
Then, he offered a simple, unfiltered clarification: the woman in the footage is neither a secret lover nor a stranger. He named her as Jennifer, a long-time member of his staff.
“The lady I was with is known to everyone around me—she is Jennifer, and she is also my staff member,” he explained. “My own team knows her. The people close to me know her. There is no triangle.”
For now, the senator remains hospitalized, battling both his health issues and what he calls a calculated political assassination by character. But if his bedside fury is any indication, Osotsi is not about to let a paid blogger have the last word.
